Door Lights

Bottom line, I would prefer red lights when in the woods and white when in town with the family in the door lights. I do wish there was a switch or option to turn them off as well (does this exist?) without just pulling the bulb or wiring.

Will any of the ArcLightLEDs fit in the door light spots? I sent an email to ArcLight with no reply yet.

Guess I will put red LEDs in there for now.

Do you mean the courtesy lights at the bottom of each door?
Or the lights in the front door side mirrors?

If the former, they are 168 bulbs. I’ve never seen a drop-in red/white LED product for that. You’d have to rig up your own custom dual LED and switch system. Or just install red LEDs as you said. I changed mine out to Philips white 168 LEDs. But they are actually kind of useless in real life usage if you want to illuminate the ground under the doors. When you open the door the interior lighting overwhelms the base-of-door lights anyway.

I found that a much more useful product are the MESO Puddle Pods.
4 Runner Puddle pods
– MESO CUSTOMS LLC

They are super bright to light up each side of the truck when you unlock the doors with your remote as you approach the vehicle. These are sold out as soon as he makes more, so you have to keep checking his site for when they become available.

The courtesy lights. I keep all my interior lights off. But I do have LED swaps in all of them.
I agree they don’t add much value except seeing the side step.

I’ll have to do some more reading on the aftermarket puddle pods. Thanks
