I’d think you’d be fine. The only open spot on mine was any always on spot (I.e. lights would be on all the time regardless of if the ignition was on or not). So I tapped something else

Thanks for getting back to me. I ended up changing it as for some reason the open spot caused my drl’s to not function so I used the acc port. Thinking about switching to my driving lights though so they are only on when they are. Thanks for all the help!

I ended up going through the main firewall gasket (not fun) and using the TAIL fuse in the cabin fuse box. Seems to be working fine for the past week. Not a true on/off switch but I like that they don't come on just with the ignition.

I like the dimmer switch idea! Nice set up. I ordered a pair from Yota Led. Can't wait!

I don’t know how some people are saying they don’t fit on non pro grills. My buddy has a 2016 trd off road and I have a 2018 sr5 and we both got the clip-in 4 lights off of amazon. They cost 40 bucks. Much cheaper than what running4tacos or other 4runner/tacoma dedicated websites are charging 80 bucks and that’s without shipping, not sure if they charge shipping or not but pretty sure they would. But they fit perfectly and clip right in, they might not lineup up to perfection but with a little moving around and pushing in, they will clip in. And just my opinion, if I had a 2020 non pro model, I wouldn’t put raptor lights on there. I think that line they added is enough and looks great but with the raptor lights it just makes the grill way to clustered and busy since these raptor lights are only for aesthetic purposes. They have no benefit besides people maybe being able to see you better coming down the road but that’s about it. That’s just my opinion though, I would leave the 2020 non pro models as they are.

Wired in my Overland Depot lights with no issues as an always on. So that part works fine.
But, like many others I would like to run a switch - in particular, I picked up one of the Rago press switches to fit the blank.

Problem is, I can't figure out (and Google and search aren't helping me) where to wire IT to - since I don't have a relay coming off the LEDs to hook into.

Has anyone worked with this? Or am I completely off base and just stuck with always-on?

Any info would be great!! I have a couple posts out with different vendors. Cannot find anything on you tube for the 2020 4runner. So I thought I would post here. Basically the same thing what I’m looking to do. I’m adding a bajadesigns led 20 inch light bar up top behind my grille. It will have 2 different wires one wire will go into my firewall to connect to my push button to turn the led bar on. My led bar will have the back lighting to be on which will be the other wire with a switch. I want to cut that wire and remove switch and add that wire into my fuse box for a add a fuse so it’s on when my DLR’s are on. Or when my headlights are on. But not sure which fuse to use. Anyone know which fuse to tap into. Thanks.

Thank Dude!! I posted to Chris on his video to see if he knows if it makes a difference. I don’t think it will. But checking with different answers to see what others have done. It’s the 2020 fuse box that’s different just want to make sure. Yeah I can just go pay someone to do it but rather save myself money and do it myself. My led bar I had in my Tacoma did not have a back lightning so I did not have to worry about that. I was going with Raptor lights but now I will sell them. I have a brand new set I did not post yet. I’m putting my led bar in the place top grille where the raptor lights would go. Thank you.

yw lmk how it goes , I was just going to wire mine like the video so they are always on. I don't think they put out much light to matter really and I only paid like $40 off amazon for the Seven sparta set, I have yet to install them though as I am waiting on a grille to arrive for the 2020 4runner that they will fit.

Has anyone found a spot for the 2020 fuse box that’s in the cabin near the e brake? I wired mine to the ACC fuse, anyone know if that’s okay to do, despite it being a 7.5 fuse in it originally? This keeps the light on once you turn the key once/radio on. If there is another safer way please let me know.

I installed these a couple weeks ago and had great luck with running the wires through the firewall and using the add-a-fuse in the "tail" fuse of the box next to the E-brake. Now they only turn on when my lights are on which is what I wanted. Hope this helps! it was super easy.

PS, I used the Seven Sparta kit off Amazon and fit and finish was excellent!

I've got a 2020 that I installed these lights on. I used the INJ fuse first, but the fuse box cover didn't fit plus I don't want the lights to turn on everytime I start my engine. I want them to turn on when my running lights are on, just like they are on my Ford Raptor. I've plugged them into the H-LP RH-LO 10A fuse and they work when I turn my headlights on, no problem. I really want to find the fuse that operates the running lights only and to plug into that one so I don't have to have my headlights on to run them. Does anyone know which fuse operates the running lights alone?
