Magnuson needs to re-think using "OEM" in their marketing lexicon for its Toyota kits.
Toyota owners are used to much higher OEM standards than Magnuson provides with this kit.

Same thing happened to me, I ended up cutting back further on the fan shroud.

Can you update when you get like 500 miles? The reason I asking you that because mine was good also for ~500 miles and then started rattle and vibration when A/C is ON . Appreciate it. Thanks

I was dead set on getting this kit, between this or the URD. Now who knows. A coworker has this installed by the dealer when he bought his 2018 runner brand new. No/ never had any issues as far as i know. Now more research!!!

From what I gather the early kits didn’t have any issues. The manufacturer of the tensioners changed the spring rate without notifying Magnuson. Who knows how many tensioners were sent out with the wrong spring rate. I’m glad they’re sending out updated tensioners to those of us affected by the vibration/rattle noise.

My Magnusson kit should arrive in a few weeks. I’ll try to post a picture of the tensioner. Seems like that could be the culprit for many of the idle in gear or sloppy belt play that I’ve read. Any other issues or updates would be great to hear from this group. Thanks guys!

I have 7k miles on my kit, 100k on the truck. I’ve had no issues with the kit or supercharger. I definitely enjoy driving the truck a lot more now. Highway cruising is great! Are you installing it yourself?

Good to hear you enjoy the SC and no issues. My buddy and I will be installing. He has all the tools and works on his own rigs, headers, engine mods etc. figured I could save on the 8-10hr job. Super excited to get this project going but build times have been 6-10 weeks out.

13K+ miles, dealer installed when new. No real issues. Watch the hose connections at the intercooler reservoir, may be some weeping, no real leak. I check mine and tighten them, if necessary, now and then. Very happy with the performance over my '13 'Runner. Ain't no rocket ship, but let's face it, it's a 4Runner, at close to 5K lbs. LOL!

Good decision on installing it yourself. It’s not too bad. Don’t expect a rocket ship! To me, it totally changed highway driving. It’s definitely a lot quicker but still a big brick!

Thanks all for the feedback and encouragement. Highway driving, mountain passes, loaded up with family and camping cargo is all I’m looking to improve. I have sliders and a slimline roof rack, so will be happy with what I’ve researched and heard from you guys.

Everything has been fine with mine since I got the new tensioner. I get an occasional leak at the hose connection of the water pump and I just haven't had the chance to pull the bumper and change the hose clamp. It seems to only be when it is cold out. I changed all the other clamps already as a precaution because I heard it was an issue.
