What equipment are you carrying in your winch bag and what brands do you recommend?

Highly recommend going with soft shackles over steel, much lighter, easier to store and use. Check out treaty oak off road but you can find them most anywhere.

A 10' tree saver strap, 30' non-kinetic 2" strap; a handful of steel bow shackles, 3 or 4 soft shackles, a snatch block, two pairs of gloves (one pair for me, one for my girlfriend), winch line protector, and my winch controller all live in the "winch" bag

No winch yet, but still assembling my recovery kit.
20' & 30' recovery straps (non-kenetic), tree-saver strap (will add 1 more), 4 bow shackles (will add soft shackles), 6 one foot pieces of wooden broom handle (for joining straps until I get soft shackles), receiver recovery point, 4 receiver pins (2 is 1, one is none), gloves, duct tape, zip ties.
A work in progress.
Added front recovery points until I get a winch

Having recently gone on two trips where I literally used my winch 15-20 times during each outing I can say the most used items in my kit were:
-10 ft tree saver
-(2) Soft shackles - Big fan of these, they are so much better than traditional bow shackles.
-30 ft non kinetic recovery strap
-Snatch block
-30 ft kinetic recovery rope

Have yet to install a winch since I have a 2020 limited however I have a recover kit in the 2020 and winches on the other two trucks. For the 4Runner I have 5 d-ring shackles rated at 4.75 Ton / 9500 Lbs Certified Capacity + 57,000 Lbs Maximum Breaking Strength, a 30' kinetic rope and a Aluminum Shackle Hitch Receiver. In the other trucks I carry heavier rated d-ring shackles (due to weight of the trucks), non kinetic tow straps, short straps for tree huger's, snatch blocks and Factor55 ProLink XXL shackle mounts. I plan on adding a self recovery anchor to both trucks and eventually a winch to the 4Runner limited.
