LED headlights/fog lights???

Guys, need some help. My sister in law was ready to by a 2020 4runner until they brought it around in the dark with the headlights on. As soon as she saw it her response was "no way, I need the white lights" and we left. Is there a good LED upgrade available for the 4rnr?

None that don't mess with oncoming traffic. There are drop in morimoto LED but they are not issue free. Alpharex just came out with headlights but jury is out. Need to drop the bumper if you need a bulb change.
Hid are not bad but the only good ones are from a company that monopolized merge with the others and dropped quality. Theres an H9 mod that works well for lighting but its not white.
You can do a retrofit but be ready to cut the radiator supports

@Catskill4RNR

She would need HIDS (Bulb Color: 5000k) 35w or more for Upstate. LED just wont do.

You can use LED bulbs in the fog lights and reverse lights, but use HIDS for your regular headlights. Ditch lights would also be a plus on those side road with no traffic. Would light up the sides nice and you would be able to see all the deer on the side of the road.

See XENONDEPOT - HID & LED Lighting Products for the HIDS and LED's.

She would also need LED bulbs for the backup/reverse lights.

I need White Lights for real

I would tell your sister-in-law to find and deal with her own vehicle purchase.
Getting involved in the deal is just going to be a point she can complain about. 6 Mos from now you will be hearing I never should have let you talk me into buying this car. The air conditioning vents do not point to the position I want them to or some other whiny complaint.

Xenon depot is pumping out a shit product unlike even a year ago. Cheap junk.
They merged with headlight revolution, and retrofit sourse and they are all one company pumping out the same shit. All are under staffed and customer service went south. Read up, don't take my word for it. Even Xenon apologised for being unable to provide support.

I paid 200 more for the XV2 hid and it was great if you like your lights to look like a Dalmatian.....bright and dark spots all around

Got yaa.. I bought mine from them when they were in Canada, i see they sold out. Blahh..... What are good HIDS replacements for the similar setup HIDS H1 5000k 35w these days? Something that lasts. Mine still work great.

I am open to the HID options as well, guess I should have mentioned that in the title. Even if she doesn't buy one I am interested in a lighting upgrade for mine. We do have a lot of dark and a lot of deer up here!

Take a look at this thread. The halagens give more lighting out of the 4runner projector. There is a link to a thread of a dude that proves it 100%
The pictures show many bulbs. The GTR are bright as can be but hurt people's eyes including my ex when she ride in the runner!
The XV2 could have been good only they had bright and dark spots all over the place.
Even tried the XB morimotos and for 1100 were worse than the 12 buck H9 that's better

Before all the shills start piling on about how their Chinese LED's are the best and 1,000,001th light thread starts ad nauseam check out these two threads. The LEDs all come from the same "Happy Red Dragon LED Factory #1288XX" Same crap different box, 99% don't work as well as stock and are NOT DOT approved (aka illegal)

LED. I was ready to upgrade mine with the Halogens but she wants to see the LED so she bought them for me to install in my truck. If she likes them she is going to buy the new 4RNR and order a set for hers as well.

Right now the truck deal is on hold.

I will not be throwing any of my factory parts away in case I hate them and want to go back to stock.

FWIW the dealer suggested the Morimotos.

I have the factory LED fogs in my 2019 TRD Pro and couldn’t stand the color difference between those and the factory halogen headlights. It just looked bad. I installed the Morimoto 2 stroke 2.0 LED headlights and it was a perfect color match. They’re pretty cheap and are a 15 minute simple plug and play install. They have a pretty good cutoff and I never get flashed by other drivers. The output isn’t as great as I’d like but I always run them with the fogs on as well. Together, I have plenty of light and it’s a beautiful white light if that’s what you’re after. I would just get those and buy some of the Toyota LED fogs.
