Pic Request: 5th Gens W/ Motorcycle Carrier Hitch

Got a ktm this weekend and now comes transportation. Sold my sled so I could re purpose that trailer by adding bike binderz - or thinking maybe about the receiver carrier.

I am sure the back end will sag... I ripped out my bags due to them leaking so much

Riding on icons.

Pics/reviews are appreciated!

Sorry, side question: what's the tongue weight on our rigs?

I only have pics with a dirt bike on the rear hitch carrier if that helps. I'll ramsack the desktop when I get home and post. The carrier only has a 400 lbs weight limit so I've never tried to lug around the race bike (always trailered).

Buy a trailer. 4Runner has a 500-pound tongue weight limit.

No pics handy but it does fine with my 250xcw on a hitch carrier, not too much squat

https://www.toyota-4runner.org/attac...1&d=1583198941 $159 Amazon 400lb works great. I use a trailer sometimes but there are events that it is better to use the carrier.

Bear in mind that when loaded with a bike, your license plate cannot be seen. You can be ticketed for that.

When I used to use one of these, I drilled 2 holes in it and relocated my plate to the outside rail every time I used it.

Now take it one step further and realize that even if you do that, it's not lighted. You can also get pulled over for that but much less likely if you aren't out at night.

Congrats on snagging that KTM, those are killer rides! I know this thread's a bit on the older side, but transportation issues? Timeless, right? Given the sag issue, especially since you ripped out the leaky bags, a receiver carrier might be a good call. But then again, repurposing your sled trailer has its perks. If you're still looking for upgrades or even just parts to enhance the KTM or the 5th Gen's performance, you might wanna check out https://don-performance.com/en. They've got some quality stuff that's worth a gander. Ride safe and keep tearing it up on that KTM!

Lighting

I haul my bike with a hitch carrier and I added lights to the carrier. You can't see tail lights with a bike on it. I added lights to my carrier. Bolted on a set and plugged it into the trailer wiring. I was more concerned about people seeing my brake lights rather than getting a ticket. My .02
