Negative 4 deg caster

I put a 3" toytec/Bilstein lift in and JBA UCAs, I've read on here in several threads that I need to get -4 deg caster. I took it to the dealership yesterday and told them that, they said they could do it but it'd cost more because it'd take more time because of all they needed to move around and they see no benifits in doing that. I told them to forget it and just aline it to factory specs. That's what they did and it drives perfect. I talked to the tech and he said the -4 caster is mostly for sport/race cars and is over kill for a 4 wheel drive. So, did I screw up going factory specs that were recommended by a certified tech or Should I have listened to the internet and insisted on -4?

you need + caster not -

it should be +3 to +4 or so.

Take it to an offroad shop that has an alignment machine. You should be shooting for +3.5 or more of caster to clear the body mount. The benefit of added caster is that your vehicle will track straighter down the freeway.

I made a mistake. It's 4 degrees POSITIVE caster I've read. The guy in the service dept taking my info said negative 4 degrees caster and I went with it. Looks like they did a good job.

typical casters setting ranges from 2.5 --> 4.0. it's all in the positive degree range. your 3.3 and 3.5. you have more you can go but if your not rubbing, your good.
