If you have 17x8 wheels, 4.1 backspacing, and 285/70 tires....

Do they rub?

Search results were unclear.

Thanks!

Are you lifted? Do you have front mud flaps? Did you do a fender liner mod? Do you street drive only or do you take it off road?

They did at first.

On a recent off road trip they rubbed some more on obstacles so I’m going to trim even more bumper.

No BMC?

I have JBA UCA's, he says that with 17x8 wheels and 4.5 backspace, there will be 1/8" clearance at full lock with KO2 285 LT tires. That's too close for me.

Looking at other backspacing available on wheels, the 17x8 wheels have either 4.5 or 4.1. So it looks like I will have to go with the 4.1.

I didn't want to find out I would have bad rubbing if I do go with them. I don't mind trimming the fender, but I want to avoid chopping the body mount.

Thanks for the help. Search wasn't getting me anywhere.

No BMC. If you’re that worried about it just go with a smaller tire.

My cheapo level 8 mk6 are 17x8 -10 with 4.110 backspacing. No BMC, doesn’t even look that close to me. Aligned to factory specs with stock UCAs for now.

Thanks. Looks like what I will go with. Are you happy with those wheels? I'm looking at those or the countersteer X, but the Mk 6 are much cheaper.

Thank you all again for your help.

I like them. You can tell they are cheap up close. Centercaps suck. But I made Trd stickers to cover them. I’ll sell you a set for $20.

For half the price of methods or alphaequipt, I’m happy. I may upgrade eventually, maybe not.
