Seems highly unlikely that the entire unit would need to be replaced. More realistic scenario is the LED bulb itself burns out and needs to be replaced, which should be much cheaper.

How are the wheels different? Haven't seen a good enough pic to really tell.

Most excited about the LED headlights. Hoping the Limited/Pro lights (with LED for low and high) have a redesigned appearance and are easily retrofitted.

Looking at the Toyota press photo of the Pro, it looks the same to me. The projector might be a little different, but the overall design looks the same.

Does anyone have any inside info on a release date? I might want to pick up another Pro but in White or Black.

LED bulbs have their lifetime expressed in many thousands of hours. Like 40-50,000 hours. I'd be amazed if the truck lasted long enough to have an LED "burn out."

It’s been my experience that you cannot replace the LED “bulbs” because there are none. The LEDs are on a circuit board that is typically bonded to the housing and reflector so the entire unit has to be replaced.
My personal experience recently was with a LED CHMSL, “center high-mounted stop lamp“. $150 for it and the trunk lid had to come apart to replace it when it quit. Typically this model failed because the circuit board cracked. It would be a $6 fix if it had a incandescent light.
You can clearly see there are several LEDs in the new headlight picture and a single bulb in the old.

The other thing I wanted to point out is that developing head lights is a very expensive and time consuming project. I did one in South America.
If Toyota spent all that time and money on an LED redevelopment for the 4R my guess is that the 4R will be around for awhile in its current configuration.

According to press literature here: 2021 Toyota 4Runner, Sequoia, Tacoma and Tundra TRD Pro get out-of-this-world Lunar Rock color
The new wheels are flow-formed, which is a process that allows the barrel portion of a cast wheel to be lighter and stronger. FN/Konig has been doing this for a while, their six-shooter wheel is 17x8 but only weighs 21 pounds. In comparison, the stock wheels are closer to 30 each.

A neighbor of mine down the street has the Lunar Rock colour on their Rav4. It doesn't look great on the Rav4. Maybe it will look better on a 4runner that is boxy?
Best TRD colour so far is the Inferno.

I think the lunar rock color is going to look better than army green. Army green is too shiny for my taste - Toyota should have made it matte.
The lunar rock color is matte and looks a lot like the Air Force sage green.
