Well maybe not immediately, he did grab lunch first... "Yeah, gimme the BLT. Hold the lettuce and tomato. And can I get turkey on that instead of the bacon? Thanks"

I will say this though since I also got a Pro with believing I wanted to keep it stock. Then the mod bug hit me and I went ape poop. Sometimes things just don't go as planned. ;)

I’m all for people doing what they want with their vehicle. I doubt anyone, a dealer included, cares that it’s VIN comes up as a pro when it’s not the limited color, doesn’t have pro suspension (the only real difference between an ORP if it’s not a the limited color), has no badging, and is the most common color around. Personalizing a vehicle in any way immediately diminishes the pool of interested buyers. Changing everything that makes it $8,000-$10,000 more than a loaded ORP is definitely not going to help it hold value.

Not everyone that buys something has the intention of selling it.
My purchases, not limited to vehicles, is with the intention of long-term ownership. Some with the intention of passing on to heirs.
I do also feel that it is more prudent to buy less and upgrade rather than buy high and modify downward. But to each their own. 'Murica!
Sounds like OP got a good deal with the trade in. Selling the higher-end OEM components will offset the cost of the desired components to a degree.
As to the badging, some like to be stealthy. Is it any worse than someone putting Pro badging on an SR5?
And he got a hood scoop, lol.

Congrats on the purchase. Seems like a strange move to me, but we have the same taste in color schemes and not everything I do makes sense either.

Correct, but you can always swap back to stock.

I dunno. I guess I’m just in a different place. For example, I don’t get it when someone buys a new 4R of any model and “drives it straight to the tire store” to spend $2000 on new wheels and tires. It’s fine to do whatever you want, just doesn’t fit my interest.

People do different things that other people don’t understand. Nothing wrong with that. As long as you are happy. I had friends ask me why I traded my 17 White Pro with only 12,000 miles on it and bought a 2020 Pro. I wanted the extra upgrade and the AG color. Plus had them question but your Pro was paid for. All about numbers for me when it comes to buying cars or mods.

New one looks nice.
If you are interested in selling the wheels without the tires let me know.

Man, I think someone needs to make a post about what you can and can’t do to your new 4Runner (insert model) when you buy it.
I am starting to think that the perfect 4Runner is the one you don't talk about on the forums.
Good looking truck and congrats. Enjoy it.
