Dealer installed paint protection and window tint on mine. Had the window tint removed and installed ceramic tint, but left the ppf on. It's the first time I've had ppf, and I'm sure it's not as good as Xpel or 3m, but thumbs up - it's been great on the front and hood.

Port/Dealer installed PPF is similar to wearing a dust mask to avoid Covid-19. Xpel carries a substantial warranty (10 years I believe) for a reason, and any installer I've spoken to has never had to use the warranty for a client.

Very nice. Bonus is that it matches your license plate scheme.

OK. At least we know why you spent the extra $10K. That's a lot for auto headlights but you want what you want.

Color is a personal preference but I’d have to say that you are in the minority on that one. I’ve owned a lot of vehicles and have gotten more compliments on the Voodoo Blue than any vehicle I’ve ever owned. People stop me in parking lots, gas stations or out on the beach to compliment the color. As far as paying under sticker.....that is now becoming the norm on TRD pros, in the Northeast, across the Toyota line. It seems the novelty has passed, prices have risen too fast and production numbers have risen. Whereas you once had to pre order one or get to the dealership the day one arrived on the lot, there are now many that sit for weeks, unsold. There are a bunch of army greens sitting unsold as we speak. With a little negotiation, purchasing under MSRP is easy. It’s not that way in other parts of the country, but out here, not a problem.

Color is personal preference, but I'd have to disagree with your assessment of voodoo blue, you're in the minority. VB consistently rates at the bottom of the pack when compared to the other single year specialty colors. If you do a search here, you will see evidence to that fact. I also never stated that Pros couldn't be had for under msrp, I purchased mine for under msrp back in '17. I simply stated that the voodoo blue color was the contributing factor as to "why" it was in inventory, waiting for you, at significant discount. You mention that "production numbers have risen"....could you kindly provide link or reliable source regarding Pro production numbers? As far as I'm aware, actual Pro production numbers have never been released! Enjoy your Pro, and I hope you continue to rack up the compliments!

In TX, selling for sticker or more is the norm. Most people don't even bat an eye; they are just happy to buy one.
I personally like the Voodoo Blue. I liked all of the other special colors better, but still liked Voodoo Blue as well.
To the OP, I for sure would have just bought the 2020 TRD OFP if I were you, but to each his own, and your rig still looks good! Its cool to have something different.
BTW, production numbers have not risen on Pro's.

No official productions numbers are posted but people from different dealerships have told me that the PROs are easier to get than they were several years ago and that it was easier to get a bigger allocation. It might be different in other areas of the country like Arizona, Utah, Colorado or Texas where you have those great open spaces and opportunities for rock climbing, desert running and overlanding. Here in the northeast, it’s just a different market. A few years ago, you’d be hard pressed to find a PRO, in the special color, on a lot for more than a couple days. Now, you can regularly find several sitting on lots within a relatively small radius.

“Why” is this Army Green waiting for someone at a significant discount? Pandemic pricing?
