RTT spacing block?

Hey T4R!

I have a question for those of you who have mounted your RTT to crossbars that have a profile slightly higher than the stock rails. I purchased Victory 4x4 crossbars (awesome people and quality product) the issue I’m running into is that the bolts that came with my 23Zero tent don’t fit. They are to long, any other style bolt I try is to short. I’m currently calling everyone to find the middle size I need to mount it (no one has them for sale in my area apparently) is it safe to put some sort of spacer between the tent and the crossbar? Like maybe a piece of square tubed metal laying the length of the bar? My concern is that it would move if I don’t physically marry it to the crossbars.

Thanks!

What about just cutting the existing bolts down? Put the nuts where you want them and use an angle grinder to cut them down.

or just a metal hacksaw if you don't have an angle grinder

You could try a bushing like this. Hardware (probably Ace or something similar) stores will have different sizes if these aren't exact.
