2019 4Runner Lift Kit?
I have a black 2019 4Runner with the TRD wheels and stock tires. I am wanting to do a lift without spending a whole lot of money. I am considering a 2.5/1.5 option from Toytec. I am thinking about using this front lift spring without the spacer to give 2.5"
521600-KIT - Toytec 3" lift front coil spring kit
with this rear spacer for 1.5" in the back
FJRS-15-P Rear 1.5" lift Black Spacers Poly for FJ/4Runner
I don't want to do anything too drastic that will require me to replace upper control arms and wind up significantly increasing my maintenance. What do ya'll think about this option? I thought the springs in the front would give me a better ride than using spacers, and I could upgrade to Bilstein 5100's later if I wanted to. I plan to upgrade to 27570R17 tires when it comes time to replace mine. This option would come out around $300.

Sounds like you're rushing it. Just save up for 5100's or 6112/5160, or eibach's kit.
do it once, do it right.

Going higher than 2 inches may require new UCAs for caster.
If you want a "better" ride, check out the Dobinsons TT, Eibachs Pro truck kit, or the 5100s.

Anytime someone says they don't want to spend a lot of money on a lift should expect to get what they paid for. Not a very good lift. Suspension is something you should never go cheap on. You are changing the geometry so expect to have to correct those changes.

I got a quote for a 2" lift from Les Schwab in Oregon on a 2010 SR5 with KDSS. I'm a total newb, so have no idea if this is a good kit or deal.
16759 UT623 SUSPEN LIFT - TOYOTA $0.00
252257 52002 COIL SPACERS $95.98
13560 SUSPENSION INSTALLATION LABOR $94.50
Quotation Total: $190.48
Also need to add alignment for another $110.

Hold on. For the Eibach lift kit 2.75"/1" wouldn't that basically put the nose higher than the rear? Especially if you put anything in the trunk?

I just purchased a full kit from Wheelers, 2.5” T1 front coil made by Eibach, 2” rear coil from OME, and Eibach Pro shocks all around. Assembled and shipped to me door for $830.

Not a bad deal for spacers, i had spacers for almost 5 years, they were a cheap and effective lift to use before my OEM shocks started to wear. But lift is always better.

No. Still a very slight rake to my eye.

Having the back loaded down can definitely lower the height. They also have a rear coilover conversion now that allows you to pick the spring rate and dial in the ride height depending on load.

What do you think the concern is with running lift springs and OEM shocks? Obviously, the ideal would be to run the lift springs with 5100’s with the setup I’m looking at, but why exactly would you not want to do that? My truck is a mall crawler and probably won’t see serious off-road any time soon, haven’t even ran it in 4WD yet. I just thought the lift springs would give a better ride than spacers.

The lift springs will tear the shocks apart literally. They can't handle the added force at full droop. That and often they don't have enough valving to control the springs if any higher than OEM rate.
