I had the exact same shake at 60 to 65mph on my 2020 Venture with the Dunlop’s. I switched to stock size KO2’s and it’s smooth as butter.

I paid the difference for the KO’s and had them mounted on the TRD wheels. I could not be happier. They look great and the ride is solid. Glad I fought for better tires for sure!

Definitely not the truck but the tires. I have a 2018 Trd, 2008 4th gen and 96 3rd gen 4 runner. The only one that has this problem (50 to 70 mph) is the 4th gen. This happen after I installed some new Chinese tires. Nothing would resolved the issue until I replaced them with Toyo tires.

Just scheduled my second appointment with the dealership about the same steering wheel shaking between 60-70. Hopefully I will get some sort of results because the frustration is mounting when I just bought the brand new vehicle from them.

I went to pick up my runner Saturday morning after the second time balancing and aligning. Got on the highway and turned right around as they did not fix the shake/shimmy. Had a tech ride with me so that I could show him, let him drive it so he could experience it as well, and decided to wait this time. They showed me them road force balancing it to show me they are balanced, this is the 3rd balance in 2 months of owning the truck, took a test drive, lo and behold still not fixed. Left the runner there for them to contact Toyota on what the next steps will be. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? I’m getting pretty frustrated.

Go back and read post 38. You have to be persistent. If it is not tires it’s more serious. Good luck.

I have this from 65+ with my ‘14 Trail Prem. It’s better/worse at various speeds over 65+. About to have some 275 K02s road force balanced so we’ll see what difference it makes.

Really hate it because one of the appeals of the vehicle is adventure travel and it’s maddening to deal with on long-ass interstate sections.
