Rubber mat for rear (seats removed)

I'm looking for a rubber mat to cover the entire back of the 4R with the seats removed. I'm thinking a truck bed mat cut to fit, but I have concerns it my smell. Maybe one specifically designed for a van?

Get the rubber mat for a truck bed and cut it to fit. I did that for my Pontiac Vibe in 2007 and moved it to my current 2009 Vibe when I bought that. I mainly did it for my dogs as it gave them a mat they could grip their claws into and not slip around.

Overall I have had the mat in the back of a Vibe for 13 years now. I can't recall the smell being overwhelming.

I did this, and it did smell for about two weeks. I ordered it long so i could have a piece to pull out to cover the bumper so my dog don’t slip getting in, and i like it very much.

Funny I just did this today.

Cheap full length (2nd row down) cargo mat

It does smell though! It's only day one with the mat so we will see if it goes away. I'm airing it out now in the garage.

I have always used an old, soft blanket for the back. It works great because I can fold it to extend out to the back which makes it easy for me to move stuff by pulling the blanket to prevent scratches and it’s great for leverage. The seats are always folded down in my vehicle too for the dogs.
