Weboost Antenna Install help..and done.

Does anyone know of a mount or bracket that can be fitted to the stock roof crossbar that I'd be able to adapt a ram mount to that would support the Weboost antenna (the big black one).

I install a good amount of WEboosts on RVs at work and have used a lot of varying bracketry depending on orientation. Number one useful material is 1/8" thick angle aliminum; 1 or 1-1/2" depending. It's strong, light, doesn't rust and is easy to work with and cut and drill and such. And cheap. Like 3' stick from Home Depot is under $10 and then you can do whatever your mind wants to visualize. Depends how creative you wanna be I guess.

Thanks for the reply, but I was hoping to come across a clamp (wondering if a Yakima clamp will work) that I could attach to the oem crossbar that I could then in turn attach a ball ram mount to and then secure the antenna to that.

How has the feedback been with the Weboosts you've installed?

Does anyone know of a CB antenna mount that fits the oem roof rail channel?
That might work.

Lots to chose from:

Diamond antennas
Comet antennas
Amazon had Chinese knockoffs

I use the Rago hood mount for my 2meter ham radio antenna. That’s a great mount

Oh ok I see.

From what I hear, people are satisfied. I think it helps a lot to amplify an existing cell signal. It's not a miracle cure, but I've heard good things overall. The one we use a lot doesn't require any set up or anything either.

I've got a bead on a couple mounts that may work.
Yeah, I don't expect to garner a signal where there is no service, just boost from 1X to 3G or perhaps even 4G with two/three bars.

I put two holes in my roof for NMO cell antennas. I'm working on getting a modem up and running to talk to them, but I'll make a post about the outcome at some point. I'm hoping the ground plane will make a big difference in reception.

Soft install done. Roof mount didn't work out very good so I went with a hatch mount that I had to modify a little bit with the bench grinder. Turned out good. Instructions reflect that head of antenna needs to be above roof line. I will move the antenna up if need be in the future. I drove to a spot today that has anywhere between 1X and NO SERVICE for reception. With the Weboost on I got LTE 3/4 bars. Impressed. Real test next week when i head to Bishop area for a few days.

How did this end up working out when you went to Bishop?
