2018 GX460 vs 2015 Limited

Considering trading my 2015 Limited for a 2018 GX460. How much should I expect on trade-in? It is Blizzard Pearl, Sand Beige Leather, 3rd Row, 2WD, 78k miles. One minor accident from 3+ years ago, happened before I got it. I am thinking I should get around $25,000 but I wanted to get some opinions. Also, is this a good upgrade? GX460 has capt chairs, Black Ext with Brown Interior, 4WD, and a bunch of other stuff, 27k miles for $38k.

Private sale you might be able to get that much, very unlikely on trade-in. I'd expect closer to 20k.

Didn't even know they made Limited in 2WD.

If you want captains chairs go for it, personally I'd prefer the standard bench in the back.

Have you driven and used a GX before? If not, make sure you like the infotainment / climate control and aren't annoyed by everything being touch screen, and also the barn door style rear door. Those two items were what kept me from purchasing a GX over a 4Runner.

It definitely drives nicer, rides nicer, has a much nicer quality/feel interior, and is much quieter.

I was considering the GX before I purchased my '20 ORP. They're amazing trucks. I did ultimately decided on the 4Runner after working through the anticipated depreciation for both. The new 4runner will cost me roughly the same as a 100k mile used GX over a 5 year period of ownership, so the warranty was worth it for me to take a hit on the luxury amenities the lexus offers. If you're looking at a newer GX, the new 4runner could work out to be less.

I'm very confident you'd be happy with the GX, though. I think I may replace our Outback with one in the next couple years.

Can you post a pic of the space between the center console and the radio? Should include the shifter and any other knobs and buttons.

If you can negotiate well, you might be able to get a little over $20k but there are 2015-2016 Limiteds listed all over around me for $23-27k so I doubt you'd get $25k on trade in. It also depends on where you are.

My wife has a GX 460 and prefers driving the TRDP 4r's.
