Valances

I've searched the forum and can't find a source for valances front and rear that don't require drilling the bumper covers. Does anyone know if these are available that are 3m taped like the TRD grill overlay? The process of installing OEM parts (dremelling the slots is doable) but I'm looking for an easier method. I seem to be getting a bit lazy as I get older. Thanks for any help.

Here is the closest I've found without drilling out all the holes for the front.

5th Gen 4Runner - Front Bumper Valance Swap from Off-Road to SR5

Not too sure if it's possible for the rear though.

You could cut all the tabs off the balances and tape he shit outta them....but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I found a new takeoff set on Craigslist and dremmel’d my bumpers. It was a scary ordeal, but came out perfect!

My advice is to get a dremmel and make sure you are using both hands to control the tool. It is very easy for he tool to get out of control and drill outside the lines. It happened on a few of my holes until I learned “best practices”. Even if you do come outside the lines....the valance will still cover the mistakes...as long as they are not too big.

I was pretty set on using an easier method but ended up removing the front bumper and using a dremel. On the backside of the bumper the spots to cut are already marked so that makes it pretty easy. I used a drill bit first and just drilled a hole on the top and bottom of each spot so I just had to dremel two straight cuts down each side. It was a much easier project than I had anticipated.

This was the way I had originally planned to do it but I just figured cutting the clips off of the backside of the valance was just as much work:

Thanks guy's for your input, it was just a thought about 3M taping even though I knew the correct way would be to remove both bumper covers and install using clips as per Toyota. I guess that after this crisis is over I'll order OEM and clips and do it right. Again thanks and it is my sincere hope that all here and their loved ones remain healthy during this trying time.
