More "No" than "Yes" in my situation. My purchasing dealership happened to have 3 overstock 2016 Trails on their during my first visit. When I had finally decided to go for the 4Runner (about a couple days later) one of the 3 had just sold during my 2nd visit. I was left picking between MGM and Silver. It'll be 3 years during Memorial Day weekend and really like the MGM color.

I was looking at a 4th gen, but then i was looking for a GX...either would have been used and had worry-some mileage on it.

then the dealer i bought from had three low mileage former rentals on their lot. Test-drivers that people would take home for 24hrs before making a decision...

Gun-metal grey, red, and white....well...

poof, and poof went the grey and red...so i scrambled my money together to get the white...
it was a $36K truck that they were selling for $27K w/ 10K miles on it - color be dayum'd at that point.

would i have chosen white, naw...do i regret it...not one iota

Yes, and no.

I looked first online at Toyotas site to check on colors and originally wanted black. When I got to the second dealer and looked in person, they had two white Pros and a Voodoo Blue Pro. I chose the latter.

If I buy new, you better believe I am choosing the color. And the options.

Used, I'll usually come up with a range. Like dark grey, black, or dark blue or dark green will work. Maybe even silver since it always looks clean. And if I can find one of those with the appropriate options packages and miles, I'd be happy with any of them. Never thought I'd intentionally buy a black car again but my T4R is black. It was the right price and options with the right mileage and condition. Love the way it looks, it's just tough to keep it looking clean. The JK is Black Forest Green but I ordered it that way and had it built after I fell in love with the color.

White, red, gold, yellow, orange, brown, light blue, etc. are all just a no go.

"Why in the hell would you take a color you did not want?"

It was Thanksgiving, I wanted KDSS and I wanted $5,000 off the red Trail Premium they had on the lot. I didn't get the entire $5k off, but I was happy.

I had a silver Highlander Limited and liked silver vehicles because they stayed cool and cleaner parked outside. I got red.

Three days later I took my now-wife into the dealer and she picked out an end of the year 2016 Avalon Touring. A $3k rebate and another $3.5k off. She had always driven red Camrys. She got silver.

Go figure. We're happy. The dealer took my checks and they were happy.

This is a big step up from the 1986 Subaru GL wagon I used on the Outer Banks beaches for 14 years. That thing would go anywhere in the sand on 185/70-13 tires. Dual range 5 speed, factory skid plate, 3 position manually adjustable rear shocks and armored exhaust. All factory, including the white spoke wheels. The front sub frame finally rusted apart.

Alway picked my Toyota colours. Had a black Tacoma but a pain to keep clean. When I went to trade in for a T4R I had MGM or Super white in mind and had a tough decision. Went with the MGM and it looks amazing when wiped down with quick detailer.

I recently bought a Tundra and went with Cement. Really like the different looks you get in different lighting.

Now looking to trade my T4R MGM and having a tough time deciding, silver or white..

There were enough red ones on lots in a decent radius. Didn't originally want the sliding tray on the other hand. Wasn't in a rush, but buying off the lot seemed convenient and was happy with the deal.

Turns out the sliding tray has been useful although it'd be nicer if it had more flexible ways to strap down objects.

Agree 100%. The one I ended up picking had the tray already so I thought it might be useful, but it's quite a pain to strap anything to and still have it be able to slide in/out.

I bought my 2017 at the end of the model year as the 18's were coming out. I drove an hour from my house to get the color that I wanted, it was the only Nautical Blue in the area. It also had the third row which I did not want, but I got stuck with it because I wanted to pick this color.

I wanted MGM but couldn't find one anywhere so I ended up with Cavalry blue. I see a dozen MGM's a day, so I'm happy with my choice.

No I did not.

I was looking for specific options in a TRD ORP at the end of calendar year 2019 and I was looking for a new 2019 still on the dealer's lot within 1000 miles of me that the dealer was willing to work with me (seriously discount) to get it off their lot.

Color wasn't the important deciding factor. I would have been happy with a number of different colors.

I found a 4Runner with the specific options I wanted within 1000 miles of me. It was Barcelona Red, so we worked out a deal remotely and I did a 2000 mile weekend to get the options I wanted, and the Barc. Red happened to be a nice plus that's really grown on me.

Wanted a Quicksand Pro but after much deliberation went with Magnetic Gray. Couldn’t see Quicksand looking as good as MGM with bumpers and other shit.

Went through hell and high water to get cement b/c of how limited it was. Only none black car I purchased in over 20yrs. And in a few months I will get a slap in the face from Toyota when they start painting every 4runner under the sun cement. And it will only get better when everyone that buys one puts a chinese trd pro grill and wheels on it and tells me it’s just like mine.

I did not.

I really wanted MGM, would have settled for silver or white. Hell, blue or red would have been good too.

I was looking for a used 4runner 2014-2017. Trying to stay under budget at 32k OTD. Id been searching for about 3-4 months. The state of Alabama didnt have shit all for options. Id been to Florida looking as well but they didnt want to negotiate much. I had just found out I was going to be moving someplace cold and sold my Harley. At the same time I got my tax return. At this point, I had seen a USED 2019 listed for 36k and a NEW 2019 listed for 34k. I thought it was a screwup and called them immediately.

Bottom line. I got that new 2019 for 36k out the door. At the point, color didnt matter for the price. I had a black car before that I put into shows and swore id never do it again. Detailing and keeping the paint clean is a B****. But im going to use and offroad the shit out of it. Its now a show car. So screw it. Ill keep it clean as long as I can.

Looked at used bought new.
Wanted MGM got MGM.

Had I gone used silver would've been an option. Wouldn't mind quicksand though.
