Right?? I honestly think it may have been the batch of pigtails they used for this shipment because one of mine just went out again after I had installed it and confirmed it already working. The connection is very finicky. I'm gonna have to open it back up and see if I can make better contact.

Honestly, I think it's the batch of pigtails. Maybe we can ask Baja Designs to send us a couple new ones to try out.

What?! Nooo! That really sucks, man. I think it was this batch of pigtails since none of the YouTube videos or instructions included mention this issue. I even looked through comments and nobody else seems to be experiencing this. Hope you get them working again soon.

I was able to fix it. I just had to open up the well well liner again and squeeze the harness as hard as I could like before. I'm glad it was on the driver side because the passenger side is a little bit more of a pain. I just hope this isn't a repeating occurrence.

I feel like we might not be the only ones affected. Only time will tell!

While I would be happy to enlighten you on why this virus has spread as rapidly as it has, the fact you seem to think that only a medical doctor can do so shows I would be wasting my time. Just to expand your obviously limited knowledge, an epidemiologist, virologist, or even microbiologist (use google for these big words!) could give a just as good if not a better summary of why things have spread so quickly. Stick to your constant attention craving and tear-filled posts about your 4runner making a clunking sound. Better yet, do the world a favor and drive your clunking shitheap off a cliff.

So which are you? Where did you study that you think is so illustrious? I’d like to review your PhD dissertation, can you share the title so I can use that Google machine you speak of to find it?
Unfortunately, I wasn’t fiscally responsible enough to attend community college for the first few years of undergrad. You do realize they teach the same classes there, right? Same textbooks, too. Community college is one of the best decisions a high school senior could make to ensure financial independence upon graduation. No one cares where your undergrad was done when you have graduate degrees.
As for my truck, it doesn’t have these fog lights, so isn’t relevant to the discussion. Also my radio silence on the issues with it are due to an open legal case. Of course, given your expertise in, well everything, you probably already knew that.

Keep on trolling, though. It’s funny when borderline illiterates try to use “big” words.

Just wanted to post an update since my last post.

Each side has gone out once to where I had to reseat the pigtail to the harness to fix it. Pushed as hard as I could almost breaking my fingers lol. Sent an email to BD. Not too happy about it.

Thanks for the heads up. Installing mine this week, so I’ll be looking out for this bs.

It is becoming painfully obvious (pun intended) that there is something wrong with the connectors and BD needs to fix this.

They also need to come to the forum (they are here because the commented in this thread earlier) and explain what happened and what they are doing to fix the issue - or do they only comment to pat themselves on the back?

Mine were sold by Sparktec Motorsports (through Walmart online oddly) so no telling if they are new or old stock, but I’ll post my clip experience regardless for whatever it’s worth.

Hi Pableaux,

Sorry to hear there's a persistent issue, I will make sure you're taken care of for a solution. PM inbound.

Toyota fog pocket kits are among one of our top sellers and we haven't had any consistent reports of defective connectors. We did have a batch come from a different supplier a few months ago, that's the only thing I can think of that may have released this issue. I'll be checking out our inventory today and verifying if I can duplicate this issue in the warehouse.

We're here to support toyota-4runner.org members and provide multiple avenues for our customers to reach out for assistance. We welcome honest criticism, questions, comments, issues, and what customers would like to see in our brand.

For anyone here, feel free to contact me for any questions or issues.

I had absolutely zero problems with my BD S2 ditch lights install. My only problem is deciding between the SAEs and Squadron Sports for fogs

I can definitely appreciate this. I'm hoping it's just an isolated issue. Appreciate your time.
