Just installed some Baja Designs lights... And they don't work

I just tried installing a set of Baja Designs Squadron SAE lights and yep, they don't work. Verified the cabling is correct. Tried flipping the cables to try and match polarity and nothing. Both do not work. Tested the OEM fogs to make sure I didn't bust anything and they still work.

At least they look good though. Smh.

BD doesn't open back up until Monday. Got any ideas of what to do in the mean time?

Maybe a bad jumper harness from the stock harness to the Baja lights?

did you try with the truck running? not just key on? did you wire straight to fog wire? didn't add any relay or switches?

I was finally able to get it to work and I guess I'll just leave this up here as a form of embarrassment

I was rechecking my cabling and everything looked good. Tested with a multimeter and noticed a problem.

I had to push in the Baja harness into the Toyota harness as hard as I could. I mean like to the point to where my thumbs were in a lot of pain. Voila. It worked.

Lesson is, push in the connectors as hard as you can even if you think you've already pushed them as for as they could go. Hopefully someone in the future needing help will see this post.

Kudos to you for coming back on here and posting what the issue was though. Hopefully it helps someone else down the road.

Dang, I just received mine today and I'm having the same issue. Tried Incredible Hulking it to no avail. People on IG are saying it shouldn't have to be man handled too much. I'm not sure what else to try.

Keep pushing the h11 pigtail into the harness ass hard as you can. Use two thumbs from the bottom and grip from the top. You shouldn't see any brown/rubber. Like you really really gotta push it in. It will hurt lol

Great, so much to look forward to in the morning. Although it’ll be so worth it to see those lights shine. I guess the saying holds true: beauty is pain. Haha thanks for the tip.

Always a treat when people try to blame a product/company for their own ineptitude. And people wonder why the virus has spread like it has.

I see someone updating the thread and owning the issue/taking responsibility. I also see someone w/out anything to contribute but snark. Yep.

Since you brought it up, I'd be really interested in your take why the virus has spread. You seem extremely well versed in every topic. Where did you get your MD, was it WebMD by chance? My guess is you should go back into your bunker and sit on your stockpile of TP.

You absolutely nailed it. I tried at least 8 times and my thumbs were raw from doing so. I bought a multimeter and a test light and ultimately ended up swallowing my pride and taking it to Pep Boys thinking that I must be going crazy. They couldn't believe how tight the fit was but eventually got it pushed in far enough to make them work. I'm super happy with the lights and even more happy with the outstanding customer service at Baja. They were very responsive to help me out. It's kind of weird that two people in the same week had the same issue. Hopefully nobody else runs into the issue but, if they do, the answer is right here on this thread.
