I don't know anything about the UP but just looking at Google Maps it seems to be all national forest up there. Meaning when things open back up just head to your local ranger station. Ask them what trails are good, where the best camp sites are, the road/weather conditions, and get a OHV map. Every national forest should have some sort of OHV map available for free. Some even have the Nat Geo forest maps too so check out your local outdoor retailer. That would be your best resource.

Other suggestions would be alltrails, trailsoffroad, GAIA, Youtube and forums. I've never been a fan of off road parks. It's usually just a bunch of hill billys in Jeep crawlers doing stupid sh*t. Good to learn the functions of your 4Runner but they really aren't that fun.
