2019 Off Road here. Haven't been to the dealer in a while. Just checked carfax and it shows my exact mileage. I wasn't aware of our cars having that sort of communication occurring in the background. Can anyone elaborate on what in the vehicle itself is doing said communicating? Thanks.

I know that the OnStar in my mom's truck keeps track of everything, like engine codes, mileage, and even tire pressures. Does Toyota have anything similar?

I did but deleted them a while ago, as I found the app did nothing beneficial for me. It did not provide any updates to the system. It only gave an annoying pop up on every start up requesting permission.

I got my 4runner a month ago and just yesterday started trying to figure out the Toyota Connected Services privacy policy.
I would assume it would need some sort of cellular connection. How are the weather updates occurring?

Carfax sent me an email to sign up. I did so. It had my exact mileage to the date. This is not my only vehicle so to calculate a rough estimate is nearly impossible. An exact one would be lottery winning levels of impressive.

Thats my question here. Ha at the OnStar reference. I was going to say that but thought no one under the age of 35 would know what it was.
