My covers is the high spring rate, especially the front. Couple hundred pounds more than say old man emu. The answer I got from Iron Man was it did not matter of had higher spring rate, cause they are designed to be heavier cause designed to be paired up with their shocks.
I have been considering the 2.5”. Front, 2” rear set up paired up with the foam cell pro shocks. For my 4 runner with no added bumpers, winch, tent, fridges etc. I like a little bit of rake. I don’t plan on ever putting more than 200-300 pounds of camping gear in the back for some trips I am planning, and 90% of time is a daily driver.

I ended up going with a front springs swap to OME 888x springs. The ride on and off road is night and day difference. Much softer and more comfortable, I can go a fast pace on rough roads with ease. The Ironman front srings for 2.5 lift and stock weight are a 775 lb spring and that is crazy high for a stock 4runner most suspensions come with 500-600 lb springs. I sold my Ironman front springs to a guy tnat just added a full steel front bumper, it road great with the weight and those springs and he is very happy with it.
I have driven 5th gens with just about every major brand suspension and options Icon, RSO, Eibach, Fox, Bilstien, King, Ironman, Radflow, OME, Dobinson. I definitely have my favorites and if I was to swap out to a new setup it would be from RSO.
Sounds like you would not be happy with the Ironman setup and I would look into another brand.
