Also if you read the letter it states that they will be sending out new replacement upper control arms, not just ball joints. Hopefully their timeline of October holds true.

For those of you moving away from this junk - what are you going with?

I need to replace everything. Have had shock issues, coil issues, and now the UCA. I'm done and ready to rip it all out. Just unsure of what I'm going to go with and who's UCA.

Why are the UCA’s junk? I’ve had no issues with mine and actually think they are really well made. I also believe, per the recall letter, that they are sending out entire new UCA’s once they get them back in stock.

I'm curious whether or not there is a general consensus on the quality of Ironman FCP suspension. I have NOT read this entire thread but all of my research seems to indicate that they are well made and reliable for the vast majority of users. The recall is concerning but it sounds like they are redesigning the UCA and using a different ball joint to correct the issue AND taking care of all existing customers in the process. My local 4X4 shop highly recommends them as well, which is why I chose to go with them over the Bilsteins (and they seem to better suit my onroad/offroad usage). Are there wide complaints about the longevity or quality of their stuff because everything I have read is that they are robust and easy to rebuild...???

I am at 3 years and 35k miles on mine. I have replaced 3/4 shocks due to leaking. 1 front and 2 rears.

I’ve had the exact same experience with my prior Eibachs with similar mileage and moved to the Ironman and pleased thus far. It’s early in this relationship but I like the fundamentals and load handling so far that are way beyond what my prior setup could do.

I will say ride handling and customer service has been excellent. I have no complaints there. But disappointed in the leaks. I am hoping that they will last a couple more years and I can move to the Dobinson MRR

Similar to what others have posted - I've replaced everything on 3 out of 4 corners in 2 years and now the UCA's are being recalled. I'm done, have torn this suspension apart far too many times.

The next time she goes on jackstands everything gets ripped out and there won't be another Ironman product anywhere near my rig. I do admit they have stood behind warranty replacements, but that's not enough, quality in the first place would be much better. You can't expect clients to tear into their rigs this often. All of my failures have been with less than 20K miles on it.

It sounds like you guys are having issues with the shocks not the UCA’s. I realize that there is a recall on the UCA’s and Ironman is taking care of it by sending us an updated arm, not just a ball joint. I would agree with you on the shocks and coils. It appears that they don’t produce a great product shock setup. I was just trying to see if anyone is actually having issues with the arms but I think most or all of the issues here are from shocks and coils.

A lot of this is anecdotal, but I've been running full FCP suspension for about 3 years and 30k miles with no issues.

I have been running the Ironman 4x4 Nitro gas kit on my 2012 4runner for a little over a year now. I went with the lightest spring options available wi5h the kit, 2.5 inch medium fronts and 2 inch medium rears. I'm not very happy with the setup, it rides very firm and I can feel every bump in the road. At first I was happy and it felt softer than the OME I had on my 3rd gen. After driving many other 5th gens wi5h different suspension setups I now feel how firm the Ironman is. I am going to be removing I and going with a different setup. I don't know if the springs rates are too heavy for my needs or if they shocks are valved for heavier loads.
