New OEM Front Springs - what do these color markings mean?

New OEM coil springs for front suspension. One spring has a green and white paint dot on it and the other coil spring has a white and orange painted dot on it. Does anyone know what these color paint markings mean? What is their purpose? Appreciate any help. Thank you.

They are driver/passenger side specific to accommodate the battery and fuel tank being on the driver's side to eliminate lean.

I don't remember for sure, but I think the driver's side is green.

You should be able to count coils to verify. The driver's side has one more coil I believe.

Thank you. I read on another forum that the paint marks are for installer to make sure they are pointed towards rear?

Why use different colors then? I believe they help identify P/N as was stated.

I agree with you. Is it true that when installed the colored dots should be facing the rear of the vehicle?
