New Radio Issue
So I’m thinking about a new aftermarket radio because I find the stock one a little mehhh. I won’t say the new radio name/model because this isn’t advertisement, but if that info is needed then I don’t mind saying it. I did the “fit my vehicle” thing and got this message:
Installation notes:
If you are bypassing the factory amp in this vehicle, we recommend replacing the low-impedance factory speakers with standard 4-ohm aftermarket speakers (or add an aftermarket amplifier) to prevent overheating and other damage to your new radio.
Due to physical or electrical compatibility limitations, radio replacement is not recommended.
Anyone know what’s going on here? I have a 2020 TRD Pro. I’m sure this warning is there because the average person, like me, will probably fry something thinking everything is OK.
I have navigation with JBL speakers.
