Moonroof, two positions ?

Can anybody tell me why when I have it automatically open ... it stops when ‘fully’ open ... yet if I get the button again I gain another inch or two? Seems silly I have to hit the button twice to fully open it?

From the owner's manual: "When the moon roof is opened automatically, it will stop slightly before the fully open position. Driving with the moon roof in this position can help reduce wind noise."

Put the tailgate window down about 2-3” and you will eliminate a lot of buffeting when fully open.
