In the lower storage pocket I keep two 1 liter water bottles in each door. And dust.

I think the OP is referring to the long narrow slot just below the handle, not the foot level pocket on the door.
The slot will not hold much , but I did notice that a 9 mm magazine fits nicely in there.

I use it to put things I want to forget.

Like receipts of expensive things - when you open the door, your problem disappears.

I am surprised Rago hasn't made a MOLLE panel for it yet.
