Roof Rack Wind Noise Fix?

I'm looking at roof racks, something that is actually useful, and was concerned about wind noise.

I was thinking there must be a way to break up the air flow and reduce the noise and found this video. Has anybody tried this or be willing to try it and post back?

Hmmm shark fins on the roof rack, that would be cool. Not sure it would help the usability of it though. Maybe placed under the front bar?

I'd like to see someone with the LFD bars, Gobi rack or something similar that creates noise tried it out.

If you can hear the wind noise from the rack, then the radio isn't loud enough!

RagoFab's OEM Replacement Crossbars are very low profile, quieter than stock, and significantly more useful.

The Rago looks great but it also seem to be a bit tough to mount to without removing the entire rack.

The could (or I spose I could too) leave a relief hole for using t-nuts.

Tried this with a Yakima round cross bars, It doesn't work
So I went with the Yakima wings, that helped but didn't get rid of all the noise.
Finally got the full Yakima fairing that clips on to the bar. and that did it.
Its nice and quiet. Its not cheap but it works. and doesn't look bad IMHO.

I would say that depends on the mount. You could easily leave any of their mounts on and remove the items you need to. Anything that bolts into the 6 hex nuts on each end is an easy on/off. Or you could come up with a quick detach of sorts for whatever you need on/off frequently. I love all the holes in the center and use them lots for ratchet tie downs, there's nothing I really need permanently mounted up there. Also anything permanently mounted up there wouldn't clear the garage door. Then I'd actually have to park outside, in the cold, snowy winters of the Rust Belt.... not going to happen!
