Pre-Runner front bumpers and snow build-up...

Hello all, my 2019 TRD Pro and I had an unfortunate collision with a deer recently... Very bummed.

While the claim is being worked on I have been looking for a deer-proof front bumper replacement and narrowed it down to a couple I really like. One of those is the C4 Fabrication Hybrid.

I live in Wisconsin and there is lots of ice and snow in the colder months. Does anyone have experience with these bumpers in a cold climate? Do you find yourself constantly chiseling snow/ice out of the bumper?

Another option I like is the Victory 4x4 Strike Bumper, but with the damage to my bumper I think I'd be need to still use an intact front bumper and it wouldn't work with my replacement situation.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

You're correct, you'd need an intact front bumper for both of those. You'd have to let your insurance replace the OEM bumper cover, then cut it to accommodate one of those. You might be able to work something out with either them or the body shop to where they do that, and do the install of the aftermarket bumper you purchase, and you pay the difference.

LFD offroad makes full replacement front bumpers where you don’t need parts off the original bumper.

Demello sells a filler piece by itself. You can get that to fill in the OEM part. Most of the "cut" bumpers are cut at the same spot so it should work with any of the aftermarket bumpers. You could shave off a little more if needed too.

Damn, that's perfect! I was starting to think I would just have to go ahead and get everything OEM again. This makes my idea look achievable once more.

I love the full custom bumpers everyone pointed me towards, the only part I don't love is losing out on my TRD grille if i was to go for a complete replace.

I had very similar damage on my wife's 4 runner due to someone turning right while in the left lane. They peeled the bumper cover off her vehicle. The damage was almost the same as yours but on the other side. I put on a schrockworks bumper and it came with the piece that is missing on your vehicle. It took me a couple hours to install and I get a lot of complements. If I would have gone back stock I'd have had to replace everything again. I ended up hitting a recliner at 70MPH on the interstate. The bumper crushed it flat and didn't scratch at all. It would have wrecked the factory stuff.

Otherwise is this the piece I would need if it were not included with an aftermarket bumper?
