3D-printed some center caps for the Rays/Volk TE37XT wheels..

I ordered one center cap from ShowStoppers (nice guys) to see how it would look. This is the official offering from Rays/Volk for the Blast Black TE37-XT wheel. Not a good match and also very busy looking. I went ahead and modeled up a center cap and printed it out. Had somebody make some decals. Cheap solution. Not that weight is important, but the 3D-printed cap weighs 40 grams whilst the Factory Rays/Volk cap weighs 89 grams.

Hope everybody reading is good and healthy. Stay safe and hope to meet some of you soon.

Up until a couple of days ago have been driving around with Bilstein 5100s front (+1 spring perch, lifted the front 1.25" on our 4x2) and Fox 2.0 shocks in the rear. After work on Monday installed H&R Raising (sorry, that's what they call them) springs and Total Chaos (the polyurethane pivot bushing version) upper control arms.

Install went great, without a hitch. The H&R Springs are supposed to raise the car 2" front / 1" rear. It is sitting very level at the moment. Although perhaps it'll settle after some more driving? Also have bigger 17x8 wheels and 285/70 tires en route soon so might be best to evaluate after.

As for actual ride height change - I measured ride height prior to doing the work so next time my wife parks on level ground I'll take the after measurements and report back.

Anyway, privilege to own one of these vehicles and glad to be part of this community.

Hi RooRunner!

How do you find the H&R springs after running them a couple of months? Have you taken them off road?

Hi Chef!

Liking them although if I had any negative feedback I feel that they are too stiff. But this might be a moot concern due to us being a 4x2 and not having a lot of equipment as the heavy duty overlander / offroader might have. I have even removed the sway bars completely (actually really liking the way it feels after doing this), but they feel still a wee bit too stiff to me. Perhaps I don't know any better and an expecting beach ball plushness sometimes, lol.

As to when I feel they are too stiff... just on on road driving/commuting. I.e. feels like over-inflated tires or run-flats sometimes on sharp impacts on the road (i.e. road perforations, even going into driveways/shopping centers). Has behaved very well off-road for us. I think this is where our rig shines with the lack of swaybars and fairly stiff springs. I think they work well together during the offroad excursions my family and I go on. However to know for sure I'd have to try other springs to fairly judge.

If I had a 4x4 and some decent added weight...I'd run these springs in a heartbeat. In the meantime I think we'll have to buy a nice heavy steel rear bumper and winch for the front

hey @RooRunner ,

i have placed my order and am waiting for a set of the same wheels, 17x8.5 et-10 M-Spec in Blast Black... also from ShowstopperUSA. i expect about 2-4 months of waiting.

i also ordered the same caps you did, but i'm not committed to them. i've been looking for a solution like you made. so... you know what i'm asking, right? are you willing to print a set if i pay you for the effort and resources? it appears there's only once large PCD cap available and it's not a beauty, but your version is pretty much spot on. let me know when you get a chance, please. and thank you.

Sorry I never responded. Not sure if you emailed me. My job these days has me away from the computer unfortunately.

Were you able to find a solution regarding the center caps?

Hey @RooRunner ,

I would be interested in a set of the center caps if you're willing to print a set.
