What is the status of front camera mods and TRD Pro grille mods?
Haven't been on the forum much over the past couple of years. I have a 2017 Off Road.
Would like to add a switchable front camera (switch front/rear). Last I remember there was at least one kit but some people were having trouble getting it to work. What's the current, best kit to use?
Same with the TRD Pro grille. Copies were just coming out and there were pluses/minuses to each. What's the current best thought on these too?
(Did search on these things but people have the words "camera" and "grille" in their sigs, and, there are individual peoples' mod threads that are really long. If not too much trouble, I thought I'd ask here rather than wading through 100's of pages to get the info. Sorry!)

I went with the BEATSONIC CS6EP. Not cheap but thought it was the best one. Plus I think the other options are in the same price range as well. Out of the ones I researched it was the only one with programmable settings. But you need to buy your own camera. Mine is installed on my grille as I didn't want to drill any holes anywhere. Here are a few more options.
Here is a picture of my front camera. $16 camera and Anytime Backup Camera mod. This particular camera fits in 2014+ emblems too, but requires deremeling.

Somewhere in my build I outlined how to do it yourself with an entune stereo. I did one on my rear swingout and on my front bumper with an anytime switch and a 3 way switch to go between front and rear. Was pretty easy surprisingly. Required some basic electrical knowledge and a soldering iron.
I have heard nothing but great things about the Anytime Camera kit. I plan to do this very soon.
This video is super helpful

I have heard great things about the Anytime Camera as well. Like that it has a rocker switch to turn on the front or rear. And displays on the stock screen unit.
I have a Garmin camera so I can display on my Garmin. GPS signal from a control box in the engine bay. Works fine, just use it off road pointed very low to help with obstacles.

Hey emmantik, very sano front camera installation. Did you fab that mount yourself, or do you have a link to purchase it?
I got the bracket from YOTALEDS. I had to file down the bent ends a bit but fit pretty good. I wanted to mount it dead center but the bracket is made for the smaller grille openings. You can probably fab up your own bracket if you have the resources - I didn't. Here's a link.
