Happy with the way mine looks vs. some of the newer ones.

Shore line blue and Salsa red in the TE trim, were rare at least on east coast. I have the salsa and only 5 of them were sold in tri state area. When i brought it in for first free oil/rotate at dealership by me, they never even saw one before, thought i had custom work done on it.

I gotta agree with others here. I really like my '16 Trail but there is something about those predecessors. Maybe its the FJ wheels but this version and the FJ Cruisers are the type of rugged SUV look I've always liked the most.

Yeah, back in '14 when we were looking I really liked the looks of the pre-refreshed 5th gens better. Still do even though the styling of our '14 has grown on me.
I waited until too late in the year and there weren't any new '13s left to be found in our area with the options we wanted. I just couldn't justify spending the same money to buy a used one with someone elses farts in the seats over a new one. Overall, no regrets. Our '14 has treated us very well and I expect it will keep doing so for many years to come.

Loving my 2012 Shoreline Blue TE. Kept it pretty stock, with the exception of gray TRD Pro wheels, Wildpeak tires, and grayed-out badges (to match the gray TRD wheels)

2013 Shoreline Blue with the black accents was a good look for me. My alternate driver took it over for 2 hours on this trip.

This has bugged me for years. I really want to upgrade to a 5th gen. However, I find the style of the exterior so much better on the early models. yet, I really like what they did with the gauges and what not on the 14' and newer models.
Maybe it's worth getting a 14'+ with front end damage and swapping an early front clip. hmmmm...

After a few weeks the front may not bother you unless you wash and wax it yourself. Get over it enjoy a newer one.

We ended up with a Salsa Red 2013. Shoreline Blue or silver would have been my preferred choices but this one was too clean to pass on. The only thing that has been changed from stock are the FN Overlander Spec B wheels.
