kings or dobinsons
I've been searching for new rear shocks since one of the bilstein 5160s rear shocks started leaking. About 5 years of use and 60-65k miles on them.
Current set up is the the FJ trd pro suspension 6112 with 600lb springs up front and 5160 rear shocks with stock springs. I like the ride height and feel of the ride but i went down the rabbit hole on shocks and suspension.
Would like to keep ride height about the same so front 1.5-2 " lift in front and rear the same. Itll be stock weight and leveled ride.
As for shocks I am open to new options and ride quality. I purchased replacement 5160s but sold them to go a new route. I was leaning towards the dobinsons ims till I came across King Shocks 2.5 OEM Performance Series at about $170 more. I plan to replace the 6112s when needed in the future. Best bang for the buck?
King Shocks 2.5 OEM Performance Series $760
DOBINSONS IMS59-50701 IMS $590
bilstein 5100 (cheap route and use these till i need to replace the front) $180
