Great question. Probably a little more involved than what I am looking for though. I like the cover idea, don’t mind a bit of painting if needed. Kinda surprised they don’t already have them in black. The CF one look cool, just wouldn’t fit in with my Nightshade.

Yeah I would have preferred black but the silver is better than the chrome to me. They probably could be painted and clear coated but I was thinking with use the paint might eventually wear off.

How do they feel when pulling the door handle? Do you feel any sharp edges from the plastic cover?
I have to admit, before reading this thread I didn’t really notice my chrome door handles. But now I’m intrigued on finding a solution to black them out.

Yea, or you could just wrap the covers.

I don't feel them at all when opening the door. I guess they could be wrapped too, I've never wrapped anything so I'm not sure about that.

I’m a fan of hydro dipping. They have at home kits now, never tried but heard they are good, just take patience. I’ve never had quality issues with stuff done in the past. There are solid colors now, not just crazy designs. Should be able to do this to the covers, maybe some minor prep.
Attached is my center panel recently done.

Not sure if these will fit. But a general idea how the handles bolt in. A mod to the older latch style would be awesome.
Amazon Would need to repaint unless you want the wood grain look.

Thanks for posting this pic! I love the hydro dipping! I am going to look into this and see if I have anywhere local that can do it? Also, the shift knobs! I may have to get them, I was wanting to see the CW in the rig it’s self, looks good!

I added these 3M stick on black wood door handles off eBay. $35 for the 4. Looks good. I filled the void that is required for the thickness of the handle with a Sharpie. I have my AJT black steering wheel emblem and need to black out the small chrome vent tabs.

I got the same covers as well for about a month. Holding up pretty well. I may cover the little bit chrome thats not covered with black electrical tape.
