Poll: How much is your scooped hood worth to you?
I'm just getting a feel here. For all you scooped hood owners, if a local, non-scooped T4R owner offered you $500 to swap hoods (same color, obvs), would you do it?
Edit: One thing to consider is most T4R owners aren't forum members/enthusiasts, so a poll taken of all 4R owners who would be down may be higher than it would be on this forum. Maybe...

We have a thread on this board of those that are interested in swapping hoods.
Hood Swap
A great guy / gal would even swap at no charge.
As much as I hate my hood scoop, I'd get it wrapped before trading it.

For me, since the scoop is not functional, aesthetic only, I don't care one way or the other.
Similarly, think a snorkle is ugly but serves a purpose. It's on my list.

I put matte black vinyl on mine to kill the glare. I would not care either way.

My scooped TRDP hood shows the world that my ride is dominant and superior to all T4R’s without it.
I’m not sure I could put a price on that.

Does the vinyl work for killing the glare?

Did my white 2017 TEP with 3m matte black and it helped a bit, but did not stop the horrible glare or reflection, I could be wrong but I think the angle of the rear of the scoop is to blame.

Bottle of Weller 12 and a scoop-less hood and it’s yours.

I know it's pure vanity but the hood scoop was a mandatory requirement when I bought my 4Runner last month. I had an 05 Tacoma with the scoop and the front ends just don't look right to me without it. In all those years of driving my Tacoma I never experienced any glare.

Hood Scoop alone was worth the whole price difference between the SR5 and the Trail, would never trade it. Have always wanted a 4Runner with a hood scoop since the 97' Limited my family owned and took us camping all over.

I wouldn't mind a hood scoop, but I'm not sure I could handle all the increased horsepower and torque from adding "THE power adder uber alles"

Thanks for the responses. For my wife, a 3rd row was a necessary condition for buying our 4R. We've used it maybe twice to bring a snot-nosed cousin over to play. It's a sore spot in our marriage, and we don't bring it up at dinner
Next white 4R w/ scooped hood I see in town is getting propositioned. Not that kind of propositioned though...
