2020 sound system wiring question

I'm currently in the process of wiring up a new sound system (speakers, amp, sub) in my 2020 TRD off road premium. Looking to use the factory amp turn on for the remote turn on for the amp. Question is, I'm using a harness and reverse harness so I don't have to cut into the factory wiring, but should I connect the remote wire to the wire leading coming out of the head unit, or connect to the same wire but on the opposite end that's connected to the car, or alternatively should I just connect the head unit wire to the car and just splice in the remote wire to that pair? Any help would be appreciated

I've always connected the remote wire at the fuse box just to do away with any splicing into factory wiring. It's easy, quick, an no harm done if you ever want to remove it.
