Anyone have a Shrockworks bumper?
In my endless search for the right replacement bumper I've decided that the Shrockworks offering seems to fit my requirements and the look I'm going for.
I tried the search function and maybe I'm doing it wrong but wanted to see if any of the community here had one and could share their thoughts on them.
Thank you in advance.

SW has been offering their 5th gen bumper since the early pre-face lift models. They've been around for quite some time and common on 5th gens.

I don't have their bumper, but I have a set of their sliders. They're strong and function great. I was a little worried about the strength of their design initially, but they have put those concerns to bed after putting them to use.
Their customer service was very helpful when I needed a set of replacement hardware for install, even though I didn't buy my sliders directly from them.
I think that they have done a good job of satisfying their customers over the years, I'd be surprised if your experience differed. They would be high on my list of I was looking for a full front bumper.

As others have mentioned Shrockworks makes a quality product. They've been making 5th armor long before any of these other companies have. They don't have a strong IG or forum presence but they just continue to turn out good quality armor.

Sadly this great quality company is gone. Victim of Covid....
I have their Single-hoop front bumper and engine skid on my 06 4R SR5
Its an incredibly SOLID bumper, great quality. Although heavy appx 150 lbs.
Add my X20 winch 70 lbs and close to 220 lbs on the nose.
I do have it sitting on a Icon setup but I do notice a slight dive breaking at a stop unlike before with stock bumper and fast cornering is not as doable on the road.
The bumper is powdercoated, came with 2 LED running\Turn signals that are incredibly bright. I also have 2 Baja Design Amber Squadrons and after 3-4 years its in same condition as when it was installed and vehicle sits outside in coastal San Diego.
I think the only other bumper out there that compares in terms of quality and strength is ARB but that is 1 UGLY bumper.
Sadly Schrockworks family is out of biz a victim of Covid.

I heard Shrockworks went full on Pelfreybuilt and took a whole bunch of orders knowing they were about to close, then kept the money. Seems to be a common theme with steel fabricators for Toyota parts....
I wouldn't blame covid on it either, they had more orders always than they knew how to handle. I bought something from them when they were fairly new, like 2006 or 2007 and even then it took 2-3 weeks to make.

Agreed. It wasn’t a covid issue. It was poor management. The testimonies that came out when they closed were crazy. Used to drive/stop by them every once in a while just due to being in the area and chose to order from RCI instead. Could never get an employee on the phone with Shrockworks. RCI always answered the phone and were able to accommodate a pickup in the middle of a road trip.

i have almost the complete shrockwork catalog on my truck at one time or the other besides the front bumper, because i couldn't put up with their BS anymore.
Sure their product was top notch but their communication was BS.
They never picked up the phone, never answered emails, never returned voicemails, and if you were lucky to get an answer from them it was always "its in production, it will be ready in 2 weeks".
The dual battery kit took a month or two.
The single compressor thingie took another month or two.
the rear bumper took 9 months, and then MISSING a ton of fasteners. You had to go to home depot to complete the install. The instructions didn't even state the correct number of fasteners needed to complete the install.
You know what was even more stupid? They didn't even tell me they shipped my bumper. I had the freight company call me at work stating they were in my neighborhood, and ETA was 30 min.
Then the pin sheared off, and I couldn't get them on the phone to find a replacement. So i had to buy it from their competitor.
The rear bumper was the last straw. When it was time to buy a front bumper, I went with Demello because there CS was the exact opposite of shrockworks, but had similar styling elements and quoted me a 2 week delivery time, but actually delivered in 1 week. However, Demello was WAY more expensive, but at that point i didn't care. I refuse to shop with shrockworks.
This isn't just a pelfreybilt or shrockwork problem, alot of the well known manufactures play this BS game, and right now I'm playing this game with another well known youtube/instagay company.... I'm not calling them out just yet they have 9 days left before I raise holy hell. They seem to busy making youtube videos than actually making product.
Only thing shrockworks did right was make a WAY OVERBUILT product, powdercoat is also very good, and pricing was actually decent. SO i am happy with their product, but I refused to spend anymore money with them or refer them customers before they went belly up.
FYI, I also bought a bunch of bankrupsybilt products before they went belly up. I guess i got lucky both times (Bankrupsybilt and shrockworks).
So now when i see all this idiots shill for companies that make them wait months for product...BUYER BEWARE!!

You're not wrong about the powder coat. 8 years on now in the Florida sun and my front bumper still looks pretty darn good.

Wonder if the well known company rhymes with "alley hazed"
I purchase 2 sets of sliders and can attest to their overbuilt product and superb powdercoat. Too bad they went the way of the dodo.

x3... I have friends with c4 bumpers getting their bumpers re-powdercoated ever 2-3 years while the powdercoat on my shrockworks stuff has lasted 7 years with no issues. The only saving grace for shrockworks stuff was living in Houston and being local to them while they were still around.

yeah i should have avoided "alley hazed"....lucikly i can deal with the rattling but nah, it isn't them I am currently dealing with that went MIA with my money.
I think the list of business I avoid doing business with is longer than the list that I am willing to continue to do business with in the future.
