Like the other guy said alignments can play into that as well. My first alignment after lifting wasn't great and I had some drama with the same shop next go. Ended up going to firestone.

Even then I still rubbed slightly at full lock while reversing and coming off a curb size obstacle.

My BMC now is prob good for 35's given the right uca and alignment combo. Not super interested in regearing tho.

-38 offset is almost 3" inches wider offset per wheel than the stock TRD OR wheels. -10 would actually be much, much closer to a stock wheel with a 1.25 spacer.

I'll assume that since you deleted your 3am messages that you were either being rude or decided you were wrong. but for reference:

stock TRD OR wheels with 265's vs SCS 17x9 -38 wheels with 285's

Stock TRD OR wheel with 265's and 1.25" spacer vs SCS 17x9 -38 wheels with 285's

Stock TRD OR wheel with 265's and 1.25" spacer vs SCS 17x8 -10 wheels with 285's

I just bought a Fox 2.5 set-up and SPCs. Got 285/70/17s going on too. Was waging the mental war between stock ORP wheels or making a purchase. Saw a few Pro Comps that looked good.

I never said anything about comparing them in terms of bmc rub. I was talking about interference with the JBA UCA's. but keep on being passive aggressive, it's a great look when someone asks you a simple question about your experience with some equipment on a forum meant for discussion about equipment. and no, it's not "semantics". If you're going to try being a snarky, arrogant *******, you should probably try using the English language correctly as a baseline.

We already covered what clears and what doesn't. Conversation moved to body mounts. I'm always happy to help people on here and it's quite clear I have been in this thread.

Semantics is the study of linguistics and meaning, moron. I think the word you're looking for is "pedantic" or perhaps "details". Although I'd probably choose "pathetic" to describe your drivel.

what I personally found when researching the SCS wheels is that all the really "beefy" looking trucks were either the 17x9 -38 wheels, or the -10 17x8.5 wheels with spacers.

Has anyone had issues with the stock 2010 ver trail rims? I’m planning on doing 285s on stock 7.5 TE wheels, 3 inch lift with UCA....I never saw anyone ever talking about needing spacers but just BMC and trimming, seems rare for UCA rubbing

Has everything to do with what uca you choose and your alignment.

100% agree. I researched a lot and came up with the same. Every time I thought I found a truck stance I liked with the -10s they had wheel spacers. -38s may be the best looking offset for our trucks and I would definitely go that route vs -10 with spacers. I ended up not going with SCS at all though. Maybe in the future.
