Pedal commander vs Sprint booster?

Anyone have knowledge/experience with both? I’m looking to add something to offer a bit more throttle response and wondering about pros/cons of these two options. TIA for any info. I have a 2019 Trd ORP and am also not sure exactly which units would correspond with my vehicle.

I do not have experience with Sprint Booster so I can’t comment on that brand but I can say that Pedal Commander is a game changer. This is by far the best mod that I have done so far to my 4Runner and have recommended it to several friends.

I do not have any experience with the pedal commander but I do have the sprint booster on mine and would share the same comments about it. I think they’re pretty much the same exact thing with a few minor differences in control options. Very happy with the sprint booster. Find the one with the best price and go for it.

Thx guys! My buddy told me he put one on his f-150 and lamentes having sold his t4r as throttle response was a big reason he did. Gonna grab one of the two now. Appreciate the feedback

You all know if this would affect warranty in any way?

I wouldn’t worry about it. That being said I t would only affect warrantee if there was a failure directly related to the throttle control system. If that happened which is unlikely, it is very easy to uninstall before taking it to the dealer. Regardless, it is highly unlikely this will causes any failures to your vehicle.

I agree will all said above, its a well worth it mod. I have the sprint booster, I like that I can change modes on the fly, as long as I have my foot off the gas.

LED button with green, red and stock. I've found with highway driving in the mountains that it will sometimes hang in 4th once its downshifted out of 5th going up hill. The RMPs will be such that you want it to shift up into 5th. Which as mentioned is easily solved by hitting the button and changing modes.

I've jumped back in the rig and forgotten I'd turned off the Sprintbooster before and pull away and think man this thing feels like it has flat tires.

Like others, I don't have experience with both. I got the Pedal Commander on one of the ebay deals. I was pretty skeptical of it, in the "just push the pedal harder" camp. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it after installing it. While I know all it is doing is adjusting the signal sent out, it seems to make the vehicle feel more nimble and capable. It's just flat out easier to drive, especially with armor and 33s. I have been running in Sport mode, +1 and that seems perfect for me. It changed my driving style enough that I picked up 1mpg as well. I attribute this to having better control over pedal modulation, and not having to give it enough throttle everytime I need to accelerate that it downshifts the transmission. I mostly went with the Pedal Commander because of the bluetooth feature. I tucked the entire unit up behind the dash, and access it via the app, so it's a nice clean install.

I think I'd go with the sprint booster so you can set it and remove the controller and stick it in the glovebox once I get it the way I like it. Totally invisible install that way, and I can't see myself wanting to change modes frequently once I get it the way I like it. Having bluetooth is of zero value to me, so that's another reason to go sprint booster for me.

Pedal Commander, what a difference!

I have 10,000 miles of stock driving experience on my 2018 Limited. Hated the pedal response compared to my Wife's GX460. I know it's a V6 in the Runner but it was just so lacking requiring a 1/2 depressed throttle then it would go from troll to blazing real quick.

Installed the Pedal Commander now I have 36 programmable settings. Currently in City Mode -3 and am happy here.

Results. Couldn't be pleased more! Really brought the fun back into my Runner and now I think my Wife's GX460 needs one

It's all about configurability, out of box the Runner has one mode and that's slow. The Bluetooth capability in the Pedal Commander is a + which means you can hide it under the dash.

buy the one that you can get the best price on, since they both do the exact same thing.
