Trailer Power Connector Relocation?

Has anyone relocated their trailer hitch power connector to another location? Specifically after installing a new bumper? I have heard many do this, but keep coming up empty on how and where it's done.

I currently have an OEM bumper, and a long time ago completely destroyed the bracket on the connector. I was able to eventually get it off, but since then have been holding everything on with zip ties. Not really an issue, but where I have it located it will still come loose, especially when going through mud.

How has everyone been relocating them? Are you using the OEM bracket to do so? Something else? Trying to figure out what happens I'll have when putting on my new rear bumper.

Don't mind the wire holding it on. I use that as a way to power my rear license plate on my swingout tire holder that goes into the hitch. I'm probably going to buy a new connector itself just so it will "lock" in.
