To be fair the Magnum is just a really bad Chrysler copy of a 1990s Mercedes E series with their iconic drug dealer styling and barely adequate V6.

The German parts of the car seem to be the only things that were engineered.

Finally parked the 4runner next to the Jeep and compared them side by side.
The 4runner is taller, wider, longer. Longer wheelbase, more ground clearance, and better approach & departure angles. One minor detail that really doesn't matter, the 4runner does have 1½" added to the front to level it.
Both have 4.0L engine, V6 vs straight 6. Both have open differentials, 4runner has ATRAC. IFS front suspension vs straight axle. Body on frame vs unibody.
Biggest difference is 13 years, lol. I like the Jeep, it will handle the "roads" around here (hmmm.... that wash I couldn't get through until I correctly applied ATRAC), but I prefer my 4runner.
