Thanks for posting this; had not seen it on Autoblog yet. Would love to see a RTI comparison to a regular 4Runner or a Pro without KDSS to see how much you give up without the system.

That value for the Land Cruiser is amazing for how large a vehicle it is. Also amazed to see how close the KDSS 4Runner got to the Rubicon Wrangler disconnected (would have thought the Wrangler would be running away with it given the solid axles).

As a previous KDSS owner (and having a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon before that), the sway bar disconnect is probably the one thing I miss on my Pro.

Agreed. Would love to see how the TRD Pro compares on the same ramp with the same conditions. Other sources on 20 degree ramps say around 510. But they all do it a little different, so it's never really apples/apples.

Something else I'd like to see is whether it's truly a functionally symmetrical system. Does it have the same RTI score on the passenger side? Same for the LC200.

One other test I'd love to see is how it compares with a lift. So a lifted KDSS model vs a lifted non-KDSS model.

The guy isn't far from me, I did offer to bring by my 4R to test. He was interested!

With all the nerdy stuff on this site I’m amazed we’re just now seeing this post.

Where is the detailed analysis of various wheel/tire/lift combinations across KDSS and non-KDSS models sorted by color?

What impact do RTTs have and will my Baja Fogs make it jump higher?

I would be very surprised if the Toyota engineers designed a suspension system that didn't have the same articulation side-to-side.

Passenger side had less drop according to accutune. Likely due to the fixed height of the whatever you call the kdss arm. More of an issue when lifted i think

That surprises me to hear. Any links to a test verifying that? How much less? are we talking fractions or inches? Maybe I need to find a RTI ramp and try my stock KDSS equipped TRD ORP.

I don't think KDSS in the 4runner is symmetric at the limits of travel - especially not when you start lengthening travel with aftermarket suspension components. With stock suspension, it's probably very close to symmetric in function. At least not in the 4Runner version. I think the front of the LC200 is nearly or totally symmetric in the front, but not in the rear. How much difference - I'm not sure.
