Gun Safe in center console?
Has anyone installed the center console gun safe in their 4Runner? I saw one on Cabelas, that is vehicle specific. If so or if anyone has another example please share.

I have a console vault in my 4runner - made to fit the exact shape of the center console and only took about 10 minutes to install. Build quality appears excellent - hopefully I never have to find out just how stout they are, but supposedly they hold up well to unwanted guests.
Sign up for their mailer list - every now and then they'll have a sale if you're not in a huge hurry.

Console Safe 2010-20 Toyota 4Runner
Great customer service. They called after I ordered to confirm all the details and had the safe in less than a week. You do need to pull out the Kleenex holder.

been thinking about one of these for my Glock but I hate to lose use of the center console for everything else, which I use about 10 times a day. would be a royal PITA.

I had the same reservations, but wanted something more secure than the glovebox for my Sig. I still use it just as much as before. Some things I like, but there is some convenience factors I miss.

The day before I picked up my 4Runner I ordered a safe from Lock’er Down. Super easy install with no problems whatsoever during and post installation.

Lock'er Down here. Easy install/seems solid. Greatly appreciate the added security/peace of mind.

I was looking for a center console safe for valuables since I travel often. I researched several companies and console safes. I found that Lock’er Down is located in San Antonio. I live in Austin, TX and travel to San Antonio for business. I called Lock’er Down one day in the morning told them what I wanted and asked if I could pick up later that day. They said sure. I arrived later that day and they had my console safe and magnet at reception desk ready to go. Lady greeted me with a smile and called a man who came out with tools and he installed Safe and provided instruction in 15 minutes. Perfect fit, high quality, made in USA, door is spring loaded for quick access and the magnet holds my Kimber in the perfect position for right handed access.
I highly recommend Lock’er Down.

I've got the Toyota safe too. What I like is you don't have to lock it. You can use it just like a regular center console until you need to lock up something.
The door isn't spring loaded either which helps when it's not locked up.
Works with the tissue holder too.
Really solid, weighs in at 13 lbs 4+ oz.

I have the Console Vault with 3-digit keyless lock. You can keep they 3-digit code set so you can operate the freely for quick access. I installed a holster on the left side that holds my compact pistol. It just fits. I did that so it wasnt loose and bouncing around in the console. I love mine! Definitely added piece of mind. Great for women's wallets/purses.

My Locker Down is just Awesome in my Gen5 4Runner. One of the best investments I made. Velcro for the .45 & GPS. 2 magnets for the clip & knife's.
