2020 TRD Pro - Rear Badge not black?
Hey Everyone,

I picked up my 2020 TRD Pro in Army Green today and noticed the rear 4Runner Badge and Toyota emblem are both in chrome as opposed to black on all the other badges. I have seen pictures of others TRD Pro's and some seem to be black and others are the same as mine.

Is that how they come or is everyone buying something to black that out to match?

Mine came in chrome which was annoying for an all black truck, so I bought the overlays to finish what Toyota started.

It’s a dealer option for blacked out emblems or not. I know southeast Toyota usually does blacked out on most models. Probably a lot cheaper to buy an overlay than the blacked out emblems from Toyota.

My 19 orp came all black.
My 20 Pro came black with chrome letters
My 20 orp came black with chrome letters.....found some overlays on ebay for I think 50bucks, now its all black

Black out emblems on mine were actually a $160 option on my window sticker. Vehicle came through with them and was happy it did.

Black out kit on my Land Rover was around $500 (albeit, a bunch of large trim pieces go to black in addition to the emblems).

Not all TRD PRO’s come with the rear black emblem and lettering overlays.

AFAIK, the rear emblem and badge lettering are not black anodized like the TRD PRO badges on the side pillars and rear tailgate (or what ever black coating they put on there).

Here is the OEM part number for a complete SR5 badge black overlay set. TRD PRO’s will obviously only need the rear overlays in this set.

I picked mine up last November and it didn't come with the blacked out rear emblems either.

It came unlabeled. Each letter was in a separate sealed package. Quality seems ok, had what looks like the same adhesive strips inside as the oem front grill cover
