Question Bought Wheels. Now stuck between Tires & Suspension

After spending countless of hours researching, I'm ready to hear from your experiences. With your experience/research, what can you recommend me?

Nothing hardcore. Just So Cal trails & snow but more miles on city/highway as its my daily.

I bought SCS BR6 wheels yesterday. -10 offset.

Tires, torn between 2 choices:

(less noise? thread wear? cost?)
  • Falken Wildpeak A/T3W
  • Toyo Open Country AT3

Wanted 275s at first, but since I'm wanting a lift, I'm considering 285s as well.

Suspension, torn between 2 choices:

Coming from a 01 QX4, I enjoy my 2015 SR5 Prem 4WD stock ride, but I want to improve it.
  • Eibach Stage 1
  • Eibach Stage 1 w/ UCA
  • ICON Stage 2 (buy once, cry once?)

Hopefully I can get some input. Thanks!

I bought the falkens in 285 a month ago. Biggest mistake I have ever made. They are coming off and I'm getting another set of BFG all terrains. Probably will be my 10th set of them? I have heard good things about the toyo's but then again I heard good things about the Falken's too but after it still shaking after 4 trips to the balancer I'm done.

Suspension wise I can't say enough good things about the Eibach springs. I ran bilsteins instead of their shocks but they are quite similar and being in the industry for a while I really wouldn't be surprised if they were identical. Bilstein does make a lot of shocks for Eibach packages. My thought process was it's easier to get a replacement 5100 pretty much anywhere than it is an Eibach shock. I worked for a good sized eibach retailer for several years and they always seemed to have availability issues with anything that included a damper. Because they didn't actually manufacture them.

I would definitely suggest upper control arms too. You won't have enough caster without them and if you're picky you will definitely notice it wandering a bit on the highway. I went with JBA primarily because I liked the fact it uses a readily available bolt-in GM style ball joint. So you can change a ball joint down the road without messing up your alignment. And even if JBA were somehow to go out of business you can always get a replacement ball joint.

TireRack did review on LT-C BFG KO2 vs. other P-metric ATs: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...y.jsp?ttid=249

Surprisingly, KO2 are pretty quiet, pretty decent in rain, and NOT the worst fuel economy offender.

If you plan on off-roading, then KO2 should be at the top of your list.

Anyone else out there with Tire or Suspension feedback?

So far, i'm thinking of going with the Eibach kit. The Icon Stage 2 kit might be overkill for a daily driver and moderate trails in So Cal.

I have the Falkens, and have been impressed with them so far. No issues. I have a Dobinsons kit. It makes my truck feel more solid and handle better on the highway. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth it.

For what youre doing, I'd say get the Eibach kit and use the saved money on skids or sliders (or towards your tires). I know you want to buy once cry once but id recommend trying the Eibachs first, figure out what you like, then advance your offroading skills, and then buy a custom-valved 2.5 body shocked based on your preferences and future added weight of bumpers (probably still overkill for this platform).
