Diff / Breather Mod

I have a 2020 TRD ORP and was wondering if it still needs the rear differential breather mod. If it does I assume the parts are the same as previous year's. When I go to check the ARB on Amazon it says not available for this model.

While I haven't looked at a 2020, I don't think they moved anything...
so the ARB kit will work.

The ARB kit is generic for all vehicles, not just 4runners.

Here's a good video:

I don't think rear diff has changed in 10 years.

ARB kit is a fantastic waste of money. You can DIY for less then $10 and it will be just as good.

You don’t need one unless you’re potentially submersing into high water. Make your own, order the parts and save some cash. Wanderlost overland on YouTube does a quick video on how to. Pretty easy to do.

like he said... mine was more than $10, but it just involved buying a threaded nipple from toyota, and 10' of fuel line hose.
EDIT> here is the part number
Amazon.com: Toyota 90404-51026 Intake Air Control Valve Union: Automotive

I only needed 10' as I ran the line to the jack compartment in the rear, rather than up to the engine compartment. That included a foot or two of extra hose lenght btw

Couldn't agree more, did mine years ago with a cheap pcv filter from Summit because I don't like the stock valve. So I spent like $15.
Works fine.

Did mine like this old post. Did not bring it out the filler area, stopped inside nearby. No odors. No problems.
Took the new part to an auto parts store to get tubing to match.
