What's it worth?

I've been thinking about selling my trail so I can get a cheaper 3rd or 4th gen and a tacoma for when I need to haul things. What is my 2011 SBP trail worth?
137k miles. No KDSS. In good shape, but not perfect. No rust underneath to speak of (some bolt heads/welds show some rust). No mechanical issues at all.

My contract says, I got $22K for my 2011 Limited on a trade about 2 months back. But there was Audi in there two that was undervalued, so they may have swapped the values, and would actually be $15K. They were asking $19K - it sold quickly.
*2011* *Toyota* *4Runner* *Limited* - cars & trucks - by dealer -...

It depends a bit on your area but it looks like $13-14K (private party) is about the right asking price. Not sure if you will get that in the end and it depends on how quick you want to sell it, might be less?

I would have asked $17K if I sold it myself, and probably gotten $15K anyway. So the trade was a good deal for me with no hassle.

If you buying the new truck from a dealer you might see what they will give you. They sell quick in the SF bay area, so the dealers will give a tooth to get one on a trade because they can clean it up, fill the tank and turn it over in a day.

Based on that pic and if the interior is as nice... and if I hadn't bought my '20 ORP already... I would've driven across the mountain with $14k to take it home. I sold my '10 TE last fall for $14k and it had more miles. I still think that is the best of the 5th gens and the only blue color I like. I like silver better but that one looks great.

Keep the 4Runner - Get a Trailer

I bought a trailer and tow it with my 5th generation 4Runner for the occasional times when I need to haul something. I can lay 4x8 sheets of plywood flat on the floor of my 5x8 trailer. I can also haul a lot of trash to the dump and easily take along a shovel and broom. I use an old rug to cover the load. I grew up on a farm, so backing up a 4Runner when its connected to a trailer is easy. If you need to learn how to back up a trailer, watch YouTube videos and perhaps tie upright sticks to the front and back of the trailer to make it easier to observe its movement (because some trailers are low and harder to see behind a 4Runner).

Purdy truck. Nice color and limited production front end lights. I think they made these lights for only 2 or 3 years?

If you're used to the multiple car thing I can see your point a bit. I got down to just a 4Runner after having a tacoma and sporty car of some type (BMW, GTI,Mustang) for several years as well as a motorcycle. Now I just have the 4Runner and a V-Strom and life is much simpler. Not to mention a LOT cheaper. I've hauled more building materials in my 4Runner than I did in my last Tacoma. And oddly enough it's actually cheaper to insure my 11 4Runner than it was my 05 Tacoma double cab. As for values look around in your area to see what they are selling for. I paid $25k for mine 2 years ago and it was nearly identical to yours. But it was a Toyota CPO with 35k miles. Now I have about double that and it's definitely not stock. So mine's pretty much ruined for resale but it's how I want it.
