Runner sitting lower on one side

Hello all!

I just noticed that from the top of my tire to the fender I’m sitting an inch lower on my Drivers side vs the passenger???

I have had the REVTEK 3in raise kit basically since I’ve had the rig ... I know this can’t be normal ... any idea what caused this (at the risk of sounding stupid)

Thanks!

That is normal. The battery, driver and fuel tank are all on the driver side. So the driver side tends to be slightly lower. I had to up my Ironman FCP .5" higher on the driver side to compensate.

RedRunner is correct. It’s a thing. However I understand that KDSS equipped vehicles deal with this to a degree on the passenger side instead.

Many owners mitigate this with spacers (E.g. Cornfed etc), or threaded coilovers up front that allow for independent adjustment of the spring preload (ie King/Icon/Bilstein 6112 etc).

I’ve addressed mine by ignoring it for now and spending my money elsewhere. Once I don’t have anything else major to address like sliders, I’ll turn my attention back to this.

I think an 1" might be a little excessive for lean. My Passenger Side rear sits about .25" higher than the driver side. I have heard about the KDSS lean but I didn't know it was on the passenger side though.

You can use small spacers to address some lean. Measure it at 1/2 a tank of fuel and the most common load. In theory, if level at 1/2 tank, you'd a little high when the tank is low and a touch lower when it's full.

Or you can do what many of us do... don't measure, just eyeball. If it looks good, ignorance is bliss.

I have, helped at first but some of the lean does come back though. Eventually just gave up on it because I could never find a perfectly flat parking spot.

How much lean is too much lean? I installed Eibach front and rear suspension. Eventually I’ll put coil overs on the front. I have their 400lb load leveling system in the rear, which essentially acts as a coil over. I still have a drivers side lean in the front and rear.
